We are pleased to inform you that the leading bank in Mongolia, Trade and Development Bank, has opened a Rupee account with Axis Bank of the Republic of India (RBI). Axis Bank, headquartered in Mumbai, the capital city of Maharashtra state, operates with over 5,000 branches and was recognized as the leading private sector bank in 2024.
With the opening of this account, we hope it will play a significant role in supporting cross-border trade and the implementation of projects under both the Government of India and the Government of Mongolia, thereby having a positive impact on economic activities. This new payment solution will simplify and expedite foreign transactions, providing enhanced opportunities for faster and more efficient payments.
