  • Beneficiary’s account name, address: Please provide the beneficiary’s account name and address in full, as registered with our bank, in Latin alphabet.

  • Beneficiary’s account number: Please provide the account number of current, saving or card accounts at our bank.

What is IBAN number?

IBAN stands for International Bank Account Number and contains important information such as the customer’s bank, country and account number. If you are making transfers EU countries, please make sure to provide beneficiary’s IBAN number. For example:

How many days does it take for an international transfer to be credited to the beneficiary’s account?

International transfers are made through correspondent banks or intermediary banks in 1-3 working days. As soon as the transaction is credited to the recipient's account, a notification that the transaction has been successfully sent will be sent to the registered email and phone number of the transferor. Or, you can go to your online bank's Transactions/International Remittance/SWIFT Transfer directory, select the account from which the transaction was made, and view and check the entire process in real-time, from the transfer from your account to the recipient's account.

Between 50%-80% of international transfers sent by the bank reach the beneficiary on the same day, depending on the currency type. In some cases, delays may occur depending on the internal policies and procedures of the intermediary banks.

Is it possible to make international transfers on weekends?

Transactions made on weekends and after-hours via Internet Banking will be sent on the next business day. With your TDB current account, you can make international transfer following channels. Including:

  • TDB Online allows you to make international transfer anytime and from anywhere.

  • Or you can come in to your nearest TDB branch to make international transfer.

Is it possible to recall or cancellation of international transfers?
  • If you want to make change in your international remittance after the remittance has been sent, you can visit TDB branch where you made your remittance and make a request for an amendment, paying related charge.
  • If you want to recall your international remittance after the remittance has been sent, you can visit TDB branch where you made your remittance and make a request for a cancellation, paying related charge.

    • Warning: TDB cannot give a guarantee if the funds have been already executed to the beneficiary’s account because the bene bank will only return with consent from the beneficiary. In this case, the charge will not be returned.

Is it possible to take inquiry of international transfers?If you want to get any inquiry after transferring international transfer, you can contact your nearest TDB branch where you made your remittance to file an inquiry request by paying the related fees.

Are there any considerations when transacting to a foreign country?

Please note the following depending on the country and currency of the foreign transfer. Includes:

  • Please fill in the form correctly, completely and clearly. In case of payment purpose is incorrect, incomplete or unclear, the payment will be stopped or rejected by bank.

  • In case of returned payment due to remitter’s incorrect payment instruction, TDB will apply its current FX rate to convert the payment to the remitters account. Please make sure to fill in the form correctly in order to mitigate loss arisen from FX risk as bank will not take any responsibility.

  • Due to OFAC, it is mandatory to provide full address and phone number of the remitter and the beneficiary.

  • If you are making USD, EUR, GBP, CHF, SGD, SEK transfers to UA, Kazakhstan, Moldavia or EU countries, please make sure to provide beneficiary’s IBAN (International bank account number) number.

  • EUR: For EUR international remittance to Germany, it is required to fill 8-digit beneficiary bank clearing code /BLZ/ in Bank code section on your international remittance order.

  • CNY: 

    • According to cross border regulation of China, it prohibits individual payments in excess of 50,000.00 USD.

    • Obligated to filled passport/ID number for individuals, contact details (telephone, fax number etc.) for companies.

    • Make sure that fill the correct and full details of the remittance on your international remittance order. Please be aware that it is not allowed to write ‘goods payment’ or ‘personal transfer’ in your payment details section.

  • GBP: It is required to fill 6-digit beneficiary bank clearing code, sort code /SC/ in Bank code section on your international transfer order.

  • JPY:

    • Please note that JPY international remittances cannot be made in fractional amount.

    • It is unable to transfer JPY to Japan Post and Jibun bank of Japan.

    • JPY international remittance made on before 11:00 am will be paid on that day and later transactions will be settled on the next working day.

  • KRW: 

    • Please note that KRW international remittances cannot be made in fractional amount.

    • KRW international remittance made on before 15:00 pm will be paid on that day and later transactions will be settled on the next working day.

    • For KRW international remittance with amount equivalent to 20,000.00 USD or more, related transaction documents (invoices, contracts, etc.) should be attached to the payment order.

  • RUB: You have to provide the following information when you make a Russian ruble transfer:

    •  BIK code – Russian bank code with 9 digits

    • 30101xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx – Beneficiary bank’s clearing account number with 20 digits

    • INN number - Russian tax payer’s code

    • VO code - Transfer classification code with 5 digits

  • AUD: For AUD international transfer to Australia, it is required to fill 6-digit beneficiary bank clearing code, BSB number in Bank code section on your international remittance order. AUD international transfers made on before 11:00 am will be paid on that day and later transactions will be settled on the next working day.

  • CAD: For CAD international to Canada, it is required to fill 5-digit beneficiary bank clearing code, Transit code in Bank code section on your international transfer order.

  • NZD: NZD international transfer made on before 11:00 am will be paid on that day and later transactions will be settled on the next working day.

  • Other currencies**** transfer will be charged with the equivalent amount in EUR.

Dear customer, if you want to transfer money to foreign countries, please pay attention to the information below.

  • If you are engaged in foreign trade and receive an e-mail asking to transfer the payment to another account due to the fact that the account information of your customer has changed, please note that it is necessary to call the customer to clarify whether this is true.

  • If you are under any pressure to make this transfer due to the loss of personal photos and videos from online communication with a foreign national, please notify the Police immediately.

  • If you accidentally receive information about winning the lottery and receiving a large amount of cash on your computer or mobile phone and try to transfer this transaction as an advance, please note that this may be a crime of electronic fraud.

  • If you suspect that any of the above incidents have happened to you, you can contact the Police Department at 11-311606, 102 for information and advice, and receive online applications and complaints from the Police Department at www.service.police.gov.mn. You can submit your application on the site.
