Today, representatives of VISA International and the Trade and Development Bank (TDB) warmly welcomed M. Urantsetseg, expressing gratitude on behalf of the Mongolian people and wishing her continued success in her athletic career.
As Mongolia's first female athlete in judo to win a gold, silver, and two bronze medals at the World Championships, and an Olympic bronze medalist in the women’s -48 kg category at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, M. Urantsetseg has returned home with a remarkable achievement.
During the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, M. Urantsetseg became the first Mongolian athlete to join the globally renowned ‘Team Visa’ program, which supports Olympic athletes.
Her participation in this prestigious program was made possible through the sponsorship of TDB. The ‘Team Visa’ initiative, created to support top athletes worldwide, provides financial stability, allowing athletes to focus solely on their training and performance.
By joining this program, M. Urantsetseg was able to sign a contract providing her with the same level of income as world-class athletes, alleviating financial concerns and enabling her to prepare for the Olympics with peace of mind.
