On the 87th anniversary of the National Proclamation, The Mongolian Mining Journal hosted the "Mining Journal Awards 2011" ceremony for the second time. This prestigious event is designed to recognize and celebrate outstanding achievements in Mongolia’s mining sector over the past year.

During the ceremony, awards were presented in five categories, and the Trade and Development Bank was honored with the "The Best Provider of Support to the Mining Sector " award for its significant contributions to the industry.

Other winners included:

• Best Mining Company: "Erdenet" Mining Corporation's Open Pit Mine

• Best Responsible Mining Company: "Energy Resources"

• Best Eco Mine: "Peabody Winsway Resources"

• Best use of Technology: "Tavan Talst"

• Best Exploration Company: "Hunnu Coal"

• Person of the Year: D. Zorigt, selected through public voting.

The "Mining Journal Awards 2011" ceremony was attended by representatives from Mongolia’s mining and business sectors, along with international organization officials and ambassadors. This event highlighted the ongoing progress and innovation in Mongolia’s mining industry, as well as the key organizations and individuals who are driving its success.
