The health and education of our children, the future of Mongolia, are inarguably the most important issues our society faces today. That is why Trade and Development Bank supports and partners with all activities towards children.
JCI Mongolia, who is committed to creating impact in communities, has started “Save Life”, a project designed to reduce infant deaths, as part of the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN. Trade and Development Bank has supported this cause and partnered in this project. As of 2016, due to this project, infant mortality rate in Mongolia has been reduced to historically low 5.6% from 19.1%. By performing surgical procedures on neonatals in the specifically designed units with the right equipment, the risks pre and post-surgery are lowered significantly. This neonatal intensive care unit which was opened today is the first neonatal unit in Mongolia that meets international standards and is built for neonatals that weigh between 0.5-3.5 kg.
In the coming years, the project will continue and will undertake more works to help provide healthy and safe environment of Mongolian children. TDBank would like to express its gratitude to all organizations and individuals who joined the project “Save Life” and contributed to the futures of Mongolian children.
TDBank will continue to organize and support activities and projects aimed towards improving health and education of children and youth as part of its corporate social responsibility.
