The first ever Mongolia-China Expo was organized successfully 27 in Hohhot, China from Oct 22-24, 2015, with the purpose of developing the Mongolia-China strategic partnership and cooperation. Trade and Development Bank took part in the expo to expand the cooperation with Chinese banks and to enhance the role of banking sector in Mongolia-China trade and economic relationship. Moreover, Trade and Development Bank signed Memorandum of Understanding in Cooperation in trade financing business with Agricultural Bank of China and signed Memorandum of Understanding in Cooperation in Mongolian tugrik banknote replenishment business with Bank of China respectively.
By signing MOU’s Trade and Development Bank’s customers will have greater access to the trade financing through Agricultural Bank of China. Moreover, Bank of China will be able to offer Mongolian tugrik exchange services for its Mongolian and Chinese clients by opening a MNT account at Trade and Development Bank.
During the expo, China-Mongolia financial cooperation and development forum was held with participation of executives from largest commercial banks of the two countries. Moreover, the President of Mongolian Banking Association, First Deputy CEO of Trade and Development Bank Mr. O.Orkhon presented about the “Mongolian banking sector and China-Mongolia cooperation”.
